According to NVIDIA, France’s AI ecosystem has shifted from ambition to application, with agentic computing now deployed in space, financial services, the public sector, and scientific research. The groundwork includes compute commitments tied to the AI Action Summit and Choose France Summits, and the resulting projects span the full stack from open models to edge hardware.
On the infrastructure side, Bull is extending European production to NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems, planned for 2028, with rack integration at its Angers factory. In orbit, the Altair-1 satellite — part of a planned 50-satellite constellation — is running NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin modules and Mistral models for real-time Earth observation. Closer to the ground, LINAGORA and Docaposte have secured a framework agreement making Twake.ai, built on NVIDIA Nemotron, the sole referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organizations.
Industry deployments show a consistent pattern of open models plus NVIDIA infrastructure. L’Oréal is using NVIDIA ALCHEMI to explore formulations in silico, with NVIDIA claiming discovery processes can become up to 100x faster. Mirakl has onboarded more than 70 million products using fine-tuned open models, cutting catalog onboarding to under two hours. ThinkDeep and Akila built a digital-twin agent managing nearly 5,800 kilometers of roads and buildings, cutting operating costs by 10%. Bouygues Telecom and Prisme.ai launched AI Studio V2 so employees can build their own agents, while Enchanted Tools is deploying social robots in healthcare settings.
NVIDIA also notes quantum efforts: Alice & Bob integrated the NVQLink platform for superconducting cat qubits, and Quandela used NVQLink to connect a DGX Spark system with photonic qubits. The source is a single NVIDIA announcement, so it reflects the company’s framing of its own ecosystem; no independent assessment is included.
