Higgsfield AI, a startup focused on AI video and image creation, says it can now generate videos over 10 minutes long using OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, up from roughly one minute previously. The claim comes from an OpenAI profile of the company.

CEO and co-founder Alex Mashrabov says longer videos help smaller creative teams take on more ambitious work, with AI agents handling repetitive tasks like creating variations of a shot and calling external tools for 3D modeling. He also highlights GPT-Image-2.5 for reliably rendering text and infographics, which he says matters for small businesses producing promotional content without large budgets.

Higgsfield also uses OpenAI's Codex to let creatives turn ideas into software prototypes, and Mashrabov says GPT-6 Astra can now ship production-ready code. Looking ahead, the company wants to enable a "voice to movie" experience with GPT-Live-1, where creators describe an idea and AI renders it in real time.
