NVIDIA has rolled out DLSS 4.5 controls on GeForce NOW, giving cloud gaming members more say over how supported titles look and run. The settings cover DLSS Super Resolution for sharper images, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation to cut latency and stutter, and Ray Reconstruction for improved ray-traced visuals. According to NVIDIA, these options work even without the latest local hardware, since the processing happens in the cloud.
The new controls are available in the GeForce NOW app on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, and Steam OS. Ultimate members streaming on RTX 5080-powered cloud rigs get the full range, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 4X. NVIDIA says the goal is to let players fine-tune games for image quality, responsiveness, or a preferred middle ground.
Separately, NVIDIA reports that the performance of DLSS 5's 3D-Guided Neural Rendering model is improving by 2X, which should let more gamers run DLSS 5's lighting and material enhancements at high frame rates. The faster model is set to debut in NBA 2K27 on October 16 across GeForce NOW, GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, and RTX Spark laptops. The company frames both updates as steps toward making advanced AI-driven graphics more accessible, whether on local hardware or through the cloud.
