According to NVIDIA, cities across Europe are deploying AI agents and digital twins built on its accelerated computing platforms. The applications are designed to help urban teams anticipate maintenance needs, guide planning, and make public services more responsive. Partners include Akila, K2K, ThinkDeep, Galene.AI, Milestone, and Younite, working on projects from Liverpool to Milan.

Specific examples cited include a sovereign digital twin in France's Côte-d'Or covering more than 500 public buildings, which cut document search time from weeks to minutes and reduced total operating costs by 10%, with a target of 30% at scale. Belgium's Port of Antwerp-Bruges is testing agentic vision AI for oil-spill warnings using synthetic data, while Gothenburg is developing a digital twin for the EU's Citiverse initiative to simulate crowd conditions and accessibility.

NVIDIA says local AI factories from infrastructure partners such as Dell, HPE, and Lenovo allow cities to run models locally and retain control of their data. The company frames these efforts as a move from pilots to everyday operations, with plans to extend the applications across departments and neighboring municipalities.
