OpenAI announced two international initiatives on the same day. In Thailand, it is partnering with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) on an eight-week accelerator for 10 startups in health, wellness, and education. The goal is to help these companies turn AI prototypes into trusted products.

Separately, OpenAI said it is expanding its presence in Brazil. The company describes this as deepening engagement with developers, businesses, and communities to support AI adoption across the country, though it gave no specific program details.

Both announcements reflect OpenAI's broader push beyond its home market. They differ in scope: Thailand gets a defined, time-bound program with clear selection criteria, while Brazil sees a wider but less concrete commitment to local engagement.
