AI and energy dominated the week’s largest U.S. startup funding rounds, according to Crunchbase. The biggest deal was a $2 billion investment in Axiom Solutions International, a cloud and power infrastructure spinout from Flex, at an initial enterprise value of $37.5 billion. General Catalyst and Koch Equity bought shares from Flex, which plans to separate Axiom into an independent public company early next year.

AI-related startups took several of the top spots. TypeSafe AI, developer of the newly launched Jev model, raised $870 million at a $7.5 billion valuation, with Andreessen Horowitz as the largest investor and Sequoia Capital also participating. SignSplit, a data and content protection platform, emerged from stealth with $400 million in seed funding, while AI evaluation startup Arena raised $200 million at a $3.1 billion valuation.

Energy also featured prominently. Voltus, which runs a distributed energy platform for grid flexibility, raised $225 million in Series D funding, and fusion developer Type One Energy secured $200 million in Series B financing. Other large rounds included quantum computing startup Oratomic at $475 million, engineering AI platform Vinci at $250 million, and micro-manufacturing firm Atomic Machines at $250 million. The source reports no conflicting figures across the deals it tracked.
