Amazon-owned Bee has introduced its first new hardware since the acquisition: the Bee Frontier, a $74.99 wearable that can be worn on a wristband or clipped to clothing, and the Bee Eclipse, a $99.99 credit-card-sized magnetic puck that attaches to the back of a smartphone. The Frontier is available now, while the Eclipse is listed as "coming soon." Both devices record conversations and use AI to generate transcripts, summaries, and to-dos, with the Frontier offering IP67 water resistance and roughly seven days of battery life, and the Eclipse promising more than 21 days on a charge.

A new Bee Pro subscription costs $11.99 per month and adds unlimited conversation summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, conversation templates, and integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple HealthKit, and photos. Pro also unlocks Amazon.com and Alexa+ integrations, which can surface shopping suggestions based on conversations or let users ask Alexa for their Bee insights. The free tier includes conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory.

The three sources agree on the core specifications and pricing, but they differ on some details: color names vary (for example, one source lists "green" where others say "Sage"), and availability timing for the Eclipse is described only as "soon." All sources highlight privacy features: audio is not stored, transcripts are encrypted, and devices have a visible indicator light and a single button to turn them off. Engadget notes that the Eclipse's shape and magnetic attachment could make it easy to mistake its indicator light for a charging battery pack, while TechCrunch adds that connecting to Alexa is optional and uses Amazon's Voice ID to recognize the user's voice. The Verge also notes that the Amazon shopping integration is opt-in.
