According to leaked images shared by WinFuture and reported by The Verge, Amazon's next entry-level Kindle will be offered in light blue, green, and mauve, alongside black. The current basic model comes in black and matcha green. The images also show a minor redesign with more rounded screen corners.

The most notable functional change is the power button moving from the bottom of the device to the top right edge, which could reduce accidental presses when the e-reader is resting on a surface. WinFuture speculates that some images show a slightly recessed E Ink panel, possibly indicating multiple versions with different display features.

The leaks do not reveal details about the E Ink screen, storage, battery life, or pricing. The 2024 basic Kindle launched at $109.99, but Amazon recently raised its price to $149.99, citing higher memory and storage component costs. That context makes the absence of pricing information in the leak particularly relevant as the holiday shopping season approaches.
