Analogue has announced that the Pocket handheld and its Dock will be available for pre-order again on October 2 at 11am ET. The company says orders placed during this window will ship within two weeks, though past drops have sold out quickly. This is the first restock since March, when the device's price rose by $20 to $240 because of tariffs.
The price increase reflects a broader trend in retro hardware, where trade policy and component costs have pushed up prices. Despite being nearly five years old, the Pocket remains a niche product with strong demand, largely because it is designed to play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges at 10 times their native resolution. That hardware-based approach sets it apart from software emulation handhelds, though the competitive landscape has changed considerably since launch.
Analogue has not said how many units will be available, and the company has not commented on whether future restocks will carry additional price changes. For now, buyers will need to be ready at 11am ET on October 2 if they want a chance at the current $240 price.
