Antigravity has introduced a Follow Me bundle for its A1 drone, adding a watch remote, a ring remote, and propeller guards. The kit is available now as a standalone accessory for $340, or bundled with the A1 for $799, with existing A1 owners able to buy it for $272.

The new hardware is designed to improve tracking and add hands-free control. The watch remote uses built-in GNSS alongside visual tracking to follow moving subjects more consistently, while the ring remote enables gesture-based commands such as pointing to move the drone and rotating the arm to adjust distance. The kit also includes pre-programmed flight paths and a palm take-off option from recent updates.

Engadget's hands-on found the watch and ring hardware somewhat flimsy and the gesture system has limitations, such as not being able to control all axes simultaneously. The propeller guards add protection but prevent the arms from folding, reducing portability. The company recommends outdoor use with at least two meters of vertical clearance.

The bundle addresses a known weakness of the base A1, which relied on visual tracking alone and struggled with fast activities like biking. By adding GNSS and lighter controls, Antigravity is positioning the Follow Me kit as a way to fly solo without the full goggles-and-controller setup, though the source notes the new controls are more limited.
