Beats by Dre has confirmed a new collaboration with Pokémon, teasing a Pikachu-themed version of its Pill Bluetooth speaker. The company shared a short teaser on social media showing a shadowy silhouette of the speaker with yellow lightning accents, accompanied by the slogan "Time to catch something new."

The announcement follows months of speculation. Pikachu appeared at Apple's campus during its August hardware event, meeting executives Tim Cook and John Ternus, which led to rumors of a product tie-in. A photo posted on Facebook purportedly showing a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill package further fueled expectations.

For Apple, the partnership is a way to bring attention back to the Beats Pill, which was revived in 2024 after being discontinued. The speaker currently sells for $150. Beats has not yet announced a release date for the special edition, but the cultural reach of Pokémon could help drive interest in the product.
