ZDNET reports that Amazon's Blink brand has announced five new security cameras, ranging in price from $50 to $200 and available for preorder starting October 21st. The lineup includes the Blink Frontier XR+, Outdoor 2K XR+, Mini 4K+, Pan-Tilt Zoom 2K+, and Spotlight 2K+, with models aimed at both standard home use and very large outdoor properties.

The flagship addition is the Blink Mini 4K+, an $80 wired indoor/outdoor camera that marks Blink's first 4K wired offering. It features a 115-degree field of view, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and two-way audio. Blink is also entering a new extended-range category: the $200 Frontier XR+ trail cam can maintain connectivity up to 7,000 feet with a clear line of sight, while the $150 Outdoor 2K XR+ reaches up to 2,700 feet, both bundled with the Sync Module XR+.

Rounding out the release are a $110 battery-powered Spotlight Cam 2K+ with four LED spotlights and a $50 Pan-Tilt Zoom 2K+ with 350-degree pan and 115-degree tilt. ZDNET frames the lineup as a significant step for Blink, which has traditionally offered inexpensive, simple cameras as an alternative to pricier systems like Ring—now positioning itself as a more serious competitor in home security.
