A little-known third-party app called Dynamic Lyrics lets Apple CarPlay users display time-synced lyrics on their car's infotainment screen. The app connects to Apple Music or Spotify and is aimed at keeping passengers entertained, though it charges a one-time fee of $9.99 to enable the feature permanently.
The app requires an iPhone updated to iOS 26. Spotify users have two authorization options: Default, which is quick but needs repeated re-authorization, and Custom, which takes extra minutes and requires a Spotify Client ID. Apple Music users can simply allow access.
Dynamic Lyrics also offers premium customization, including background colors and vinyl or picture cover styles. The widget can be added through CarPlay settings. As with any CarPlay feature, the article advises against looking at the screen while driving, positioning the product as a passenger entertainment tool.
