Discovery+ has raised prices on both of its plans, just a week after Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery completed their merger to form Skydance. The ad-supported tier now costs $7 per month, up from $6, while the ad-free tier is now $12 per month, up from $10.
The new pricing took effect Tuesday for new members. Existing subscribers are being given 30 days' notice, with the higher rates applying to their first bill on or after November 12. This is the first price increase for Discovery+ since January 2025.
Skydance has said it plans to combine its other main streaming services, Paramount+ and HBO Max, into a single offering, and may fold Discovery+ into that with separate tiles or channels. The price bump comes as the company begins addressing the $80 billion in debt it has taken on, and further increases are likely.
