Europe's spacetech sector is having a breakout year, and startups are hiring fast to keep up, according to Sifted. The publication's analysis of the fastest-growing teams found that several companies have seen headcount increases of more than 100%, with some exceeding 700% growth in the past year.
One startup grew its team by 723%, while another saw 506% growth. These expansions are supported by significant funding rounds, including a $249 million raise for one company. The report also notes that the hiring spree is not limited to engineering roles, as startups build out business and operations teams.
The trend reflects the sector's momentum, as European spacetech companies scale up to meet growing demand. With millions in new capital, these startups are positioning themselves for the next phase of growth.
