Amulya Vishwanath, who spent nearly seven years as a product marketer at Nvidia before founding the physical-AI venture firm Techable Ventures, told TechCrunch's Equity podcast that the field has not yet reached a ChatGPT-style inflection point. She likened the current phase to a 'LEGO era,' in which the fundamental building blocks of robotics are being redesigned.
According to Vishwanath, developers are now assembling basic elements such as robotic hands and actuators, which will eventually combine into more capable systems. She drew comparisons to the internet era and the Industrial Revolution, saying it is only a matter of time before the pieces fall into place.
Vishwanath also stressed the importance of talent, calling it a key differentiator for the U.S. market and a 'moat' for her firm. She said she helps founders connect with top engineers, particularly as many are being pulled toward large companies like Anthropic and Nvidia.
