Meta is bringing its "Your Algorithm" feature to Facebook, giving users direct control over the topics they see in their feed and in Reels. The company says recommendations respond immediately when users mark content as "interested" or "not interested," and it may ask follow-up questions to capture preferences in the user's own words.

The feature is part of a wider effort to use large language models in Facebook's ranking systems. Meta says LLMs can incorporate the interests, context, and intent behind natural language, enabling an algorithm that users can "talk to" and that adapts within the same session.

"Your Algorithm" previously launched on Instagram, and Meta has also tested a similar "Dear Algo" feature on Threads. Bringing it to Facebook extends this AI-driven personalization approach to Meta's largest platform, with access through the three-dot menu on individual posts or directly via the new feature.
