Google's Find Hub is expanding beyond phones, tags, and other trackable devices. A new integration with the Gemini assistant lets users record where they keep important documents such as birth certificates, passports, and social security cards — no compatible tag required.

To use the feature, you first need to enable Find Hub through the app or in Android settings, then set Gemini as your default digital assistant. After that, you can say something like "Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in the vault," and Gemini will save the location and provide a link to the item's details in Find Hub.

For better recall, you can attach a photo of the storage spot, add the exact address if you use multiple locations like a bank safety deposit box or a PO box, and include extra notes. Items can also be added manually under the Remembered tab in the Find Hub app. When you need to find something later, just ask Gemini where you kept it, and it will show the latest known location with a link to Find Hub.
