Grokipedia, SpaceXAI's AI-powered online encyclopedia, appears to have resumed updating after a months-long pause. According to The Verge, the platform's live updates site is showing recent changes, including fact-check notes on the pages for Barack Obama and Elon Musk. The Obama page was marked as fact-checked two days ago, and the Musk page was scanned within the past hour.
Activity is uneven so far. The page for Honolulu, reached from Obama's page, was last fact-checked seven months ago, suggesting that only some pages are getting fresh scans. The Verge also tested the system by suggesting an update to the Gears of War: E-Day page with the game's October 6th release date; Grokipedia accepted the change. A separate request for an article about Meta's Muse chatbot remains listed as "In Review."
SpaceXAI did not immediately reply to a request for comment, and Elon Musk has not posted about Grokipedia since February, despite his earlier claim that it would be "a massive improvement over Wikipedia." Benji Taylor, head of design at X and SpaceXAI, posted last week that "We haven't forgotten about Grokipedia" and that "v0.2 will be better than ever," even though v0.2 technically launched in November.
