Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, introduced alongside the foldable iPhone Duo, are nearly identical except for display size and battery. The Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen, the Pro a 6.3-inch, and both are powered by the A20 Pro chip with similar camera specs including 48MP sensors and variable aperture.

Battery is the headline difference. The Pro Max delivers up to 45 hours of video playback, a six-hour jump over the 17 Pro Max, while the Pro offers 36 hours, up from 33. Apple claims the Pro Max has the largest battery life increase ever on an iPhone. Fast charging also differs: the Pro can reach 50% in 15 minutes with a 60W USB-C cable, while the Pro Max adds seven hours of playback after five minutes of wired charging.

The phones come in the same four colors and carry a $100 price gap. The source notes that aside from screen size, battery, and price, little else separates the two, and both improve on previous generations.
