JBL has introduced its most powerful and costly PartyBox speaker to date, the Ultimate 2, priced at $1,800. It delivers 1,500 watts, up from the 800-watt PartyBox 720, positioning it as a premium option for consumers who want a full-scale party audio system.

The unit is large and heavy, standing about 41.4 inches and weighing 120 pounds, though wheels and a handle are included. It carries an IPX4 splash-proof rating and includes a built-in light show with ripple-wave effects and floor projection, along with touch controls on the top panel.

For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0 LE Audio, Auracast, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect, plus optical and XLR inputs. JBL also includes AI-based vocal removal for karaoke and a USB-C lossless audio option. Pre-orders are open, with shipping expected October 25, 2026.
