Leatherback has rebranded as Foren, completing a two-year overhaul that the company says went far beyond a name change. The transformation included rebuilding its technology stack end-to-end, revamping compliance systems and strengthening regulatory capabilities to support a more scalable cross-border financial operation.
The change also reached leadership and ownership. A new management team was announced in 2025, and Zedcrest Group completed its acquisition of Leatherback in July 2026. According to the company, that gave the business a stronger capital base and institutional backing to support its long-term ambitions.
As Foren, the company is focused on a unified business banking platform that brings together global accounts, international collections, cross-border payouts, foreign exchange and treasury management. The aim is to let businesses manage multiple currencies, receive overseas payments and pay suppliers across borders through a single platform.
Foren frames the rebrand as an opportunity to introduce its rebuilt proposition to customers rather than a standalone branding exercise. The company says the new platform reflects the investments made in technology, compliance and infrastructure over the past two years.
