Mint Mobile, the prepaid carrier backed by T-Mobile’s network and known for its Ryan Reynolds ads, ranks highest in overall customer satisfaction among wireless carriers, according to J.D. Power. Its no-contract plans appeal to budget-focused customers, and the current anniversary special takes up to 71% off six-month plans, with the 6GB tier dropping to $10 per month for the first six months.

For shoppers aged 55 and older, Mint does not offer a specific senior discount, but its standard plans can still be economical. A three-month 6GB plan costs $15 per month upfront ($45 total), then renews at $25 per month. The better long-term value is the 12-month plan: $180 upfront, or $15 per month, and that rate holds on renewal. Customers should note that unused months are not refunded after the seven-day cancellation window.

Parents won’t find a dedicated kids plan or a traditional family plan, though multiple individual lines can be mixed and matched. Mint also does not support smartwatch plans, so a cellular Apple Watch for a child won’t work here. For home internet, Mint offers a bundled 12-month plan at $45 per month ($540 upfront) that includes unlimited phone data, a $300 saving versus buying the services separately.
