Mozilla has begun rolling out a redesigned Firefox to all users on desktop and mobile, following months of testing in the Nightly channel. The update refreshes the browser's themes, icons, and colors to align with recent additions such as a single switch for generative AI tools. According to Mozilla, the new look modernizes Firefox without sacrificing performance.

The redesign brings back compact mode, a previously removed feature that minimizes the space taken up by toolbars and tabs, allowing more room for website content. It also introduces a theme picker with wallpaper options and the ability to organize shortcuts on the New Tab screen. Privacy settings are now easier to locate, and Mozilla says the customization options were designed with accessibility in mind.

While features like tab groups, split view, and vertical tabs are not placed front and center, they remain accessible for users who want quick access. The company emphasized that the changes aim to keep the browser flexible without overwhelming new users.
