Morgan Stanley's Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures (MSISV) accelerator has announced its 2026 EMEA cohort, a group that deliberately mixes for-profit startups with non-profits. According to Sanghamitra Karra, Global Co-Head of MSISV, the world's biggest challenges don't fit neatly into either sector, and the accelerator aims to combine startup innovation with non-profits' deep community expertise.

The cohort is organized around four investment themes: Environment, Health & Wellbeing, Economic Empowerment, and Education & Human Capital. Notable participants include Exobiosphere, which is building automated drug discovery labs in space, and Grale, a Swedish startup developing plant-based plastic alternatives. On the non-profit side, The Unconnected Foundation negotiates telecoms services at scale to help bring 2.2 billion offline people online.

Karra says the themes were chosen where unmet need and scalable innovation overlap. The cohort's blend of frontier technology and on-the-ground impact is what makes it exciting, she adds. The source provides no conflicting views, as it is a single announcement piece.
