At its annual DevDay, OpenAI unveiled a set of work-focused tools that push ChatGPT toward a full collaboration suite. Both ZDNET and Engadget report that ChatGPT Space is a new hub where teams can work alongside ChatGPT and Dots—personal AI agents—sharing files and generated content. The feature is available now for Pro, Business, and Enterprise users on desktop and web, with mobile expected later.
OpenAI also introduced Pages, a native ChatGPT document format for generating text, charts, and images, and collaborative slides that support real-time editing and export to PowerPoint or Google Slides. Engadget notes slides will arrive in the coming weeks. ZDNET adds that the releases echo Anthropic's Claude Docs and Claude Cowork consolidation, but notes OpenAI's CEO did not frame the move as a direct Google Workspace competitor.
On data security, both sources highlight Private Intelligence, an OpenAI system designed to reassure enterprise clients that their data is protected. ZDNET details Zero Data Retention and a coming Private Inference feature; Engadget separately reports a meeting plugin that deletes audio after generating notes and upcoming Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations.
