Oppo's Find X10 Pro Max is arriving across Europe, Asia, and other territories as the company's latest upper-midrange flagship, but Engadget's hands-on found few bold moves. The phone refines the Find X series formula with a matte aluminum frame, a textured back panel, and a 6.78-inch display that peaks at 3,600 nits with adaptive refresh up to 144Hz. The biggest camera story is three different 200-megapixel sensors covering the main, telephoto, and ultrawide lenses.
That camera setup is nevertheless less potent on paper than the Find X9 Ultra, which launched months earlier with a roughly 25 percent larger main sensor from Sony. In low-light comparisons, especially in Hasselblad Master mode, the X9 Ultra handled images better. Oppo's new Lumo True engine does reduce aggressive AI processing, and the X10 Pro Max autofocuses more reliably in low light than the X9 Pro, but the overall gains read as incremental.
For the business side, Oppo appears to be playing it safe while trying to fill the gap left by OnePlus. The phone includes optional extras like a teleconverter kit and a Tilta creator accessory, plus video-focused features such as open-gate capture and O-Log2 support. Still, there is no US launch, so the Find X10 Pro Max remains a non-factor in that market. With only one source, there are no differing accounts to compare, but Engadget's take is clear: impressive specs, few surprises.
