Pebble's electric RV, the Flow, is positioned as a high-tech answer to the hassles of traditional trailer camping. A recent overnight review by Engadget found that the $159,000 trailer largely lives up to that pitch, with automated hitching, self-leveling hydraulic lifts, and an iPad Mini as the central control hub. The reviewer, who had no prior RV experience, successfully guided the trailer onto a tow vehicle's hitch using only the tablet, and watched reps remotely parallel park it around a campsite.
The interior also impressed, described as more like a micro-hotel suite than a typical camper. A queen Murphy bed, a full bathroom with separate shower, and a workspace were comfortable for two people. However, the review noted some trade-offs: the electrochromic "smart glass" windows and LED lighting made it hard to tell the time of day, giving the space a slightly disorienting, spaceship-like feel. The water pump was also loud enough to wake a sleeping partner during nighttime use.
While the review is based on a single overnight stay and doesn't address long-term reliability or real-world towing range, it suggests Pebble's core convenience features work as advertised. The main barrier for most buyers will be the price, which places the Flow firmly in luxury territory. For now, the review indicates Pebble has succeeded in making an RV that feels genuinely futuristic, even if a few rough edges remain.
