According to The Verge, Walmart is selling the digital version of Pikmin 4 for the Nintendo Switch at $39.88, a discount of about $20 from its standard price. The deal comes as Nintendo prepares to release a Switch 2 Edition of the game on November 12, 2026.
The Switch 2 Edition adds polished visuals, voice commands for the game's dog companion, and a new Dandori Academy mode with extra challenges. Owners of the base game will be able to upgrade to that version for $10, bringing the combined cost to roughly $50. That is about $20 less than buying the $69.99 Switch 2 Edition outright.
The discounted base game still follows the series' established puzzle formula while introducing a dog companion for added complexity. For buyers planning to move to the Switch 2 later, the Walmart deal offers a cheaper path to the upgraded edition.
