Samsung has introduced its first clip-on earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, in South Korea, entering a product category popularized by Bose, Huawei, and Shokz. The launch signals Samsung's effort to expand its audio lineup beyond traditional in-ear designs.
The Buds On feature a TwinBoost speaker system and automatic volume adjustment to address sound leakage, a common drawback of open-ear designs. They also include touch controls and voice isolation for calls, with extra hands-free features for Galaxy device owners.
Priced at 299,000 won (about $220) and available in black starting October 27, the initial release is limited to South Korea. Samsung says a global rollout will follow, but has not specified which markets, when, or at what price, leaving international availability uncertain.
