Samsung's One UI 9 update is arriving on many Galaxy phones, and among its most notable additions are expanded customization features. The update includes the new My Fancam video tool, but the UI changes give users more control over the look and feel of their devices.

The Good Lock suite and Home Up app receive significant updates. Users can enable Favorites Background to add blur, shadow, and color changes to the home screen's Favorites area, and similar options are available for the Edge Panel. Home Up also introduces multi-finger gesture assignments, allowing actions like screenshots or volume changes to be triggered by two-, three-, four-, or five-finger swipes and pinches.

The Quick Panel has also been overhauled. Users can now drag elements to reposition them, resize them by dragging corners, or delete them entirely. Deleted toggles can be restored via "Add a control," and the panel can be switched between separated and unified layouts. Size caps have been removed, so elements can be resized freely.
