Samsung has increased prices on its Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra by at least $100 on its website, according to Engadget. The base Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage now costs $1,000, which is $200 more than the equivalent Galaxy S25 cost at launch. The 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra saw the largest jump, rising $200 to $2,000.

The Galaxy S26 FE, released a month ago, was the only current model to avoid the increase. Other configurations now cost: $1,200 for the S26 with 512GB, $1,200 for the S26+ with 256GB, $1,400 for the S26+ with 512GB, $1,400 for the S26 Ultra with 256GB, and $1,600 for the S26 Ultra with 512GB. The price hike comes even though most S26 models were already more expensive than last year's equivalents when they debuted in March.

Engadget notes that Samsung's mobile division posted its first-ever loss in the April-June quarter, which the company attributed to higher costs for components such as RAM and storage. Its chip division, however, helped drive the company to record quarterly revenue and operating profit. Reports suggest storage upgrades could become even more expensive in the Galaxy S27 lineup.
