German software giant SAP has agreed to acquire TechWolf, a Belgian AI startup focused on skills intelligence, in a deal the company says is the largest acquisition of a venture-backed software company in Belgian history. The purchase price was not disclosed, though TechWolf had previously raised significant venture funding.

TechWolf's technology uses AI to map employee skills and align them with workforce needs, a capability SAP plans to embed into its HR and talent management products. The acquisition is expected to strengthen SAP's position in the growing market for AI-driven workforce planning.

SAP's leadership highlighted TechWolf's ability to deliver practical, data-driven insights for HR teams, calling it a natural fit with SAP's existing cloud offerings. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the coming months.
