The Onion is building a streaming comedy lineup by parodying prominent right-wing media figures. This summer, it debuted a program in which Tim Heidecker spoofed Alex Jones and the Infowars brand, a move that ran parallel to the satirical outlet's legal effort to acquire Infowars' assets out of bankruptcy. Heidecker now has a second target: Joe Rogan.

His new companion series, The Tim Heidecker Podcast, premieres Thursday at 8pm ET. The first episode includes complaints about pronouns, speculative AI talk, and a plug for a fictional supplement called 'Crab Salts.' A representative for Rogan did not respond to a request for comment. The bit builds on Heidecker's 2021 parody, a 12-hour podcast (actually one hour of footage looped) covering psychedelics, cancel culture, and whether Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson would run for president.

Guests Rajat Suresh and Jeremy Levick, who appeared in that earlier spoof, return for the new episode. During a discussion of DEI policies, Levick jokes that 'in place of Christianity, we have the 10 commandments of woke.' The article notes that in 2026, exaggerating the absurdities of the right-wing media ecosystem is harder than ever, but Heidecker's approach is to embrace the excess. With Jones and Rogan covered, he will have no shortage of figures to parody next.
