Extend engineer Bo Lau has built a website that recreates Elizabeth Holmes' desk, using more than a thousand emails, slides, texts and documents from the United States v. Holmes trial. Visitors can click through the exhibits on a simulated MacBook and iPhone, and even run the Theranos Edison machine.

The project is partly a joke, but it also serves as a marketing vehicle for Extend, a B2B SaaS company that says it can "parse, extract, and split your hardest documents with unmatched accuracy." By turning unwieldy court records into an interactive environment, Lau demonstrates the kind of document handling her company sells.

Lau is also using the site to promote a watch party for Nathan Fielder's upcoming documentary about Holmes, "You Can See Everything." The TechCrunch article notes that the simulator makes it easier to navigate the trial documents than sifting through thousands of PDFs on court websites.
