Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported another record quarter, with profit and revenue both beating analyst estimates. Net income came in at NT$763.1 billion, while revenue reached NT$1.49 trillion, according to figures compared against LSEG SmartEstimates, which weight forecasts from consistently accurate analysts.

The results mark the sixth consecutive quarter of record profit for the world's largest contract chipmaker. The company attributed the performance to sustained global demand for AI chips, which has kept its advanced manufacturing lines running at high capacity.

TSMC's strong showing underscores its central role in the AI supply chain, as it produces the most advanced processors used in data centers and AI applications. The beat suggests that demand for AI hardware remains robust, even as some parts of the semiconductor industry show signs of cyclical slowdown.
