Ubisoft has announced another round of restructuring, proposing to close its Finnish studio RedLynx and cut jobs at Ubisoft Singapore. The company said the RedLynx closure could affect up to 52 positions, subject to local negotiation, while Singapore will see 70 roles impacted.
The cuts are part of a broader cost-cutting effort. According to GameFile, Ubisoft also plans to reduce its German workforce by about 100 employees across three studios, offering voluntary buyouts in hopes of avoiding direct layoffs. The company has over 600 staff in Germany.
RedLynx, known for the Trials series, was acquired in 2011 and had already seen layoffs a year ago. Ubisoft Singapore, which opened in 2008, led development on Skull and Bones. Both studios had been providing support to other projects. The company has closed several other studios this year as part of the same drive.
