Verizon's latest promotional roundup, as compiled by WIRED, shows the carrier leaning heavily on device giveaways and multi-line discounts to attract new customers. The centerpiece is a deal that lets new customers get up to four smartphones—including the iPhone 16 Pro, Google Pixel 10, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra—for free with no trade-in, provided they open a new line or upgrade their plan. The value is delivered as credits spread over three years, totaling $1,100.

The carrier is also pushing its Unlimited Welcome plan, which drops to $25 per line for four lines with Auto Pay, and includes a three-year price lock guarantee. For single-line users, the Simplicity Plan starts at $30 per month and bundles 5G Ultra Wideband, unlimited data, international roaming, satellite texting, and 10GB of mobile hotspot data. These pricing moves come as Verizon markets itself as the "Network America Relies On," following its longtime spokesperson's move to T-Mobile.

The timing aligns with the launch of Apple's iPhone 18 Pro, which Verizon is featuring prominently. The device includes the A20 Pro chip, a triple 48-megapixel camera with a variable aperture, and an upgraded Siri AI. Alongside the new iPhone, Verizon is offering up to $1,100 off select flagship phones, free overnight shipping, and a free 43-inch Samsung QLED TV for customers who switch to Verizon internet.
