The Xteink X4 Pro, a compact e-reader with a 4.26-inch E Ink screen, is now available at its lowest price yet. At $84.15 on Amazon, it undercuts the smallest Kindle while offering a touchscreen, adjustable lighting, and physical page-turn buttons.
According to The Verge's review, the device is significantly smaller and thinner than Amazon's six-inch Kindle. It also adds a touch-sensitive home button and ships with CrossPoint Reader software, which the reviewer says improves navigation over earlier Xteink models, though it remains less polished than Amazon's software.
The main trade-off is the switch from USB-C to a proprietary charging connector. The magnetic phone attachment is stronger than before, but the reviewer still wishes it were more secure. The Verge's Andrew Liszewski calls it the best tiny e-reader he's tested.
