YouTube Music has introduced labels for AI-generated content, according to Engadget. The label, which reads "AI," sits directly below the track name and is applied to songs that were fully generated by AI or that used AI to create major components such as vocals. YouTube says the label accompanies anything "where AI played a significant role."

Tapping the label opens a menu that explains how AI was used, helping listeners decide whether to keep listening. The approach mirrors how YouTube already labels AI-generated video on its main platform, and the company says these labels will also come to the video player at some point.

Other streaming services are taking similar steps. Spotify has begun labeling fake artists, and Deezer is implementing a filtering system designed to weed out AI-generated content. This suggests a broader industry push toward transparency as AI-generated audio becomes more common.
