The Invest in Tomorrow Coalition, a clean-energy super PAC, announced a $15 million effort to defeat seven Republicans in U.S. House general elections. The list includes incumbents Lauren Boebert, Scott Perry, and Victoria Spartz, all of whom voted to end Biden-era renewable energy tax credits, plus four challengers: Mike Beltran, Anthony Constantino, Brandon Herrera, and David Flippo.

The group has a perfect record in primaries, but those targets were already vulnerable. The general-election slate is tougher: Herrera, Spartz, and Boebert are expected to win. However, polling shows Beltran and Perry could lose, and Flippo faces a carpetbagging controversy. Even a few wins would help Democrats' bid to take the House.

The coalition's ads, at least against Spartz, avoid clean-energy messaging, instead criticizing her healthcare record and accusing her of self-enrichment. Chair Tom Matzzie said attacking American energy now carries a real political cost. The strategy suggests the PAC is willing to use broader political vulnerabilities to advance its climate agenda.
