EGO has brought its three-in-one leaf vacuum, mulcher, and blower to market just in time for fall. The POWER+ LV5005 uses the same 6.0 Ah 56V ARC Lithium battery as other EGO tools and John Deere's electric riding mowers, with a claimed runtime of up to 90 minutes on the low setting. It is designed to blow leaves into a pile, then vacuum and mulch them through a six-blade metal impeller.
The unit's 16:1 mulching ratio is its headline feature, reducing 16 bags of dried leaves to one. That could matter where yard waste pickup costs as much as $7 per bag. A tool-free tube swap lets users switch between vacuum and blower modes without extra tools, and the body is rated IPX5 against weather.
The LV5005 is sold as a bare tool or with a battery and charger, and includes the vacuum tube, leaf bag, blower tube, tapered nozzle, and shoulder strap. EGO backs it with a five-year limited tool warranty and a three-year limited battery warranty, reinforcing the pitch that battery-powered landscaping gear can handle heavy seasonal work.
