A new interactive tool from the BlueGreen Alliance maps 3,446 manufacturing projects that have been cancelled, stalled, delayed, or lost support following the 2025 congressional Republican bill that cut manufacturing support. According to Electrek, the tool categorizes each harm, including lost tax credit support, at-risk or delayed awards, cancelled awards, and fully cancelled or stalled projects. Each entry shows how many jobs and how much investment were affected.

The bill, Electrek reports, redirected money to wealthy elites and added $4 trillion to the national debt over the long term. It effectively ended the manufacturing expansion begun under President Biden, which had been projected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and hundreds of billions in investment. Electrek says those jobs are now going to China, where advanced manufacturing is booming.

The tool is meant to make the consequences visible at a local level, allowing users to search for affected projects in their area. All affected jobs are tied to the green energy economy, a sector Electrek says will become more important as the world moves away from fossil fuels.
