CleanTechnica emphasises that the EV9 already offered a relatively affordable entry point for a large electric SUV, with high-quality interior and technology, and suggests that discounts now make it a particularly compelling buy. Electrek, meanwhile, sticks mainly to the size of the discount, calling it Kia's biggest electric SUV and noting the substantial price cut without the same qualitative commentary.

In practice, the reports line up on the core fact: buyers in some regions can now get a three-row electric SUV for a price that undercuts most rivals. The discrepancy is only in tone, not substance. Neither outlet indicates whether the discounts are limited to specific trims or regions, though both imply the deals are available at select dealers rather than nationwide.
