Kia's PV5 electric van platform now includes a Chassis Cab variant with an open bed, and at SOLUTRANS 2025 Kia and TGS Automotive Group showed a lightweight tipper conversion that turns it into a compact dump truck. The conversion includes aluminum sideboards, a 300 mm tailgate, and folding rear stakes.

The Chassis Cab is launching in Europe and the UK over the next few months. In the UK it comes only with the long-range 71.2 kWh battery, rated at up to 258 miles WLTP. Other regions can get a standard-range 51.1 kWh pack. DC fast charging peaks at 120 kW, taking about 30 minutes for a 10–80% charge, while 11 kW AC charging takes about six and a half hours.

Kia claims a best-in-class payload of up to 1,005 kg and a 5.5-meter turning radius for maneuverability on city streets and construction sites. The company also showed camper and food-truck conversions, and plans to expand the PV5 lineup to 10 body types, with the larger PV7 electric van following next year.
