Lexus has confirmed pricing and specifications for the 2027 TZ, its first three-row electric SUV. The base TZ 450e Premium AWD will go on sale later this year for $64,050 including delivery, with an EPA-estimated range of 253 miles from a 76.96 kWh battery. Two additional trims, Touring and Luxury, arrive in early 2027 with the larger 95.82 kWh pack, offering 315 miles and 279 miles of range respectively. Prices for those trims start at $72,050 and $80,550.
The TZ is built on the same platform as the upcoming Toyota Highlander BEV and Subaru Getaway, but Lexus says it gets unique tuning, dynamic rear steering, and a reinforced body. All versions come with a dual-motor AWD system rated at 308 horsepower, which is lower than the 402 hp Lexus initially estimated. The larger battery also falls short of the company's earlier 320-mile range claim, landing at 315 miles EPA.
Lexus says the TZ can charge from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes at up to 150 kW, and it includes a NACS port for access to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Inside, the SUV features the latest Lexus Interface with EV routing and a range map. At roughly 201 inches long, the TZ is similar in size to the Hyundai IONIQ 9 and Volvo EX90. Its starting price sits above the IONIQ 9 ($60,555) but below the EX90 ($78,090).
