After a two-year wait, the fate of Ohio's largest proposed solar and energy storage project may soon be decided. The Ohio Power Siting Board is now positioned to make a final call on the Oak Run Solar Project, following a key legal deadline that passed last Friday.

The board initially approved the project in March, but the matter has lingered since then. The recent deadline clears the way for the board to issue a final decision on whether the project can move ahead.

If approved, Oak Run would become the largest solar and storage project in the state. The decision will determine whether the long-delayed development can finally proceed.
