Acer Nitro XV273U F5 Review: 540 Hz IPS Gaming Monitor

Acer's Nitro XV273U F5 is being described as one of the fastest LCDs on the planet. The 27-inch QHD IPS panel runs at 540 Hz out of the box, and can be pushed to 1,000 Hz when the resolution is dropped to HD. That combination of IPS color quality and extreme refresh rates is unusual in gaming monitors.
The display also includes Adaptive-Sync, HDR10, and HDR 600 certification, along with wide gamut color coverage. Tom's Hardware's review positions the monitor as a high-end esports option that doesn't sacrifice image quality for speed.
No competing source was available for comparison, so the claims rest on Tom's Hardware's testing. The main trade-off to note is that the 1,000 Hz mode requires a significant resolution drop, which may limit its usefulness outside of competitive scenarios.
