Nearly two weeks after AMD announced the Ryzen 5 5500F and the Ryzen 5 7500 (non-F), both budget processors have appeared at retail. According to Tom's Hardware, the chips are now available for purchase, but early listings carry a modest premium over their official list prices.

Both CPUs are selling for roughly $20 more than MSRP. The report notes that this above-list pricing is present even among first-party sellers, not just third-party marketplaces. That makes the premium somewhat more notable, as first-party listings are usually expected to match the manufacturer's suggested price.

The report does not say whether the price premium will persist or if it reflects early supply constraints. As the only source covering this retail availability, Tom's Hardware does not compare pricing across multiple outlets or regions.
