ASML reported net profit of €4.96 billion on net sales of €11.7 billion for Q3 2026, and raised its full-year sales forecast to €44–45 billion. CEO Christophe Fouquet said customers are already lining up orders for 2029 and 2030, and that the company will struggle to meet demand despite plans to expand capacity by 30% in 2027 and another 30% in 2028.
The company also confirmed it will raise prices beginning in 2027, with the full impact expected in 2028. The comments counter earlier concerns that the AI investment boom was losing steam. As one strategist put it, demand for chips remains strong and infrastructure spending is likely to continue well into 2027.
ASML's customers include TSMC, Samsung, Intel, SK Hynix, and Micron, all of which are expanding production. Hyperscalers have also raised capital expenditure guidance, with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta collectively planning $725 billion in 2026 spending. Some of that increase reflects higher component prices, but analysts still expect global AI spending to rise sharply through 2027.
